I've been staying in Soho, right next to Chinatown, so I've been eating Chinese food and practicing my Mandarin. At Mr. Kong's, I had some properly decent Chinese food (steamed prawn dumplings, sweet and sour chicken); by comparison, at Mr. Wu's, I had maybe the worst Chinese food that I've ever tasted. There is a Chinese bakery nearby, and I've made it a habit to get cha siu bao daily, ordering in Mandarin. I've probably had more luck being understood, speaking Chinese in London, than I've ever had in China.
|Probably the worst Chinese food I've had in my entire life. Not even worth the £5.95 for all you can eat.|
|Cha siu bao; steamed pork bun.|
