Late arrival in Moscow

I arrived in Moscow at three in the morning, finally making it to my destination in Китай-город (Kitay-gorod) at about five in the morning, but not before getting lost a couple of different times, with a taxi driver uninterested in using my GPS, instead preferring to read his analog map while driving. We passed the Kremlin and Red Square, all lit up in the middle of the night, and saw a car accident of four or five cars. Then, after I stepped over a couple of drunks sleeping in the hallway, I was at what would be my new home for the next couple of days. In the morning, surprisingly, I found one of my favorite Parisian bakeries, just across the street.

Wolkonsky (Волконский) bakery, and Eric Kayser bakery; Kitay-gorod, Moscow.

Волконский has a partnership with Eric Kayser, one of my favorite boulangeries in Paris; the quality did not match Paris.
