Red pandas, in China; Chengdu Panda Base

Apparently, red pandas are “somewhat fierce,” but, at Chengdu Panda Base, there are many holes in the fence, holes that appear to be there intentionally to allow red pandas to move freely from one enclosure to another. More than once, I looked down to see a red panda at my feet.
