Morning exercise in China

Besides hours of walking, and some morning push-ups here and there, I’ve been starved for decent exercise in China, so when I had an hour to kill before my morning bus from Chengdu to Ya’an, I backtracked to some public exercise equipment nearby the Xinnanmen bus station, where I did three sets of chin-ups (15/20/12) and made a couple of friends. One of the guys did four lengths on the bars, followed by a couple of chin-ups. I tried to follow his lead, but, after nearly 50 chin-ups, I was able to do only one length of the bars before my arms gave out.

This guy did nothing.

Post-workout, with my new friend.
