Jiuzhaigou National Park: Five-Flower Lake; Sichuan province, China

Five-Flower Lake (五花海, Wǔhuā Hǎi) is in the Rize Valley of Jiuzhaigou. Its bottom is covered with ancient, fallen tree trunks, and although I’m not positive that these photos are from Five-Flower Lake, because it was difficult to keep track of the many lakes and waterfalls I visited at Jiuzhaigou, it is my best guess that this is Five-Flower Lake. I am relatively confident that I am correct. Regardless, this lake served as a nice backdrop for a rest during my many hours of hiking. I ate some peanuts, and posed for photos with some curious Chinese girls who spoke a little English but who seemed too nervous too engage in much conversation.
