Arrow Bamboo Lake (箭竹海, Jiànzhú Hǎi) is one of the first landmarks I encountered while hiking in Jiuzhaigou Park. It is in the Rize Valley, and it covers a total area of more than a half-million square feet, but it is only about 20 feet deep. Its waterfall is about 500 feet wide, 22 feet high, and more than 8,000 feet above sea level. A collapsed embankment led to its formation.
|Arrow Bamboo Lake Waterfall is at least twice as wide as what you see here.|
