Asking for free hug in Chinese

Yesterday during my second lesson in Mandarin Chinese, I learned a few basic verbs in their polite form: may I, give me, I want. Afterward while walking toward the nearby market, I spotted a young woman holding a sign that said, Free Hug. I asked my tutor the Chinese word for hug, resulting in what was probably my first attempt at using Chinese beyond just saying hello or thank you. It was appropriately awkward but I got my point across, and she got her free hug.
