Seonimgyo Bridge (Chilseonyeogyo — Seven Nymphs Bridge)

Seonimgyo Bridge is a pedestrian bridge that spans above Cheonjeyeon Waterfall on South Korea's Jeju Island. It is also called Chilseonyeogyo (칠선녀교), which translates as Seven Nymphs Bridge, so named because there is a legend that during the night seven nymphs descend from the heavens to bathe in the waters of Cheonjeyeon Falls. There are seven nymphs on each side of the bridge, each nymph about 20 meters high and each shown with her own musical instrument. At night you can see the bridge's many lanterns illuminated above the waters of the three-tiered Cheonjeyeon Falls, shown in part in the third photograph below (bridge visible in distance).
